Cadence Stride is a running metronome that helps athletes keep a steady rhythm without adding unnecessary complexity to a workout.

The app combines custom BPM controls, running presets, and distinct metronome sounds in a focused interface designed to stay useful while the user is moving.

Core experience

  1. 01

    Choose the run

Start from a cadence preset for an easy, recovery, tempo, interval, or form run.

  2. 02

    Set the rhythm

Adjust BPM and choose a sound that remains easy to recognize during movement.

  3. 03

    Run without distraction

Keep the active workout screen clear, legible, and quick to control.

Design focus

The core design problem is balancing precision with low cognitive load. The interface must make cadence visible and adjustable while asking for as little attention as possible during a run.

The visual hierarchy prioritizes the current BPM, playback state, and immediate controls; secondary configuration stays out of the active workout flow.

Monetization experiments with RevenueCat

I integrated RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and keep purchase logic separate from the product interface. This created a reliable foundation for testing monetization without rebuilding the payment layer for every iteration.

I experimented with paywall structure, messaging, and the moment it appears in the user journey. RevenueCat analytics helped me compare conversion behavior, understand where users left the flow, and treat the paywall as a product surface rather than a final checkout screen.

Current outcome

The released app provides a compact, on-device tool for runners who want a repeatable cadence practice without accounts, feeds, or training dashboards.
